Claim Process

How to Make an Insurance Claim

If you need medical treatment, keep all receipts and documents. The International Students Office assists with the claims process.

  1. Seek Medical Treatment
Go to a hospital affiliated with your insurance plan. NPU recommends Tangdu Hospital or the Northwest University Affiliated Hospital for international students. In emergencies, dial 120 (ambulance).
  2. Collect All Documents
Keep: original receipts, itemised invoice (费用明细单), discharge summary or doctor's report, prescription records, and your insurance card number.
  3. Submit Claim to ISO
Bring all documents to the International Students Office (Room 718, Yizi Building) within 30 days of treatment. Staff will verify and submit on your behalf to the insurer.
  4. Receive Reimbursement
Approved claims are typically reimbursed within 15–30 working days to your Chinese bank account. Retain copies of all submitted documents.
